We Interview Applicants on a rolling basis with the highest number in late summer for fall and spring semester employment and then again in late Spring for Summer employment. It is also our hope that you will stay with us as we grow.
We currently have the following opening:
Legal Intern (Fall Semester and/or Spring Semester). You are a 1L or 2L looking for hands-on experience in a law firm setting in Newark. Hours are flexible to your schedule with a typical student putting in 5 to 10 hours a week during the school year. You will work with paralegals performing legal work, meet with clients or contact them on the phone to follow up on certain aspects of their case. Legal research and motion and pleading drafting. If you have the time, you are always welcomed to join any of our lawyer in court.
Legal Intern (Summer). This position assumes you have completed your first or second year of law school and have a good grasp of legal writing and research. Hours for this position are regular business hours and allow you to go deeper into client legal work. Get to know out lawyers, learn the nuts and bolts of how a practice is run, how we attract clients, get paid, and manage our work.
Law Clerk (Fall Semester/Spring Semester). This position is for 2Ls or 3Ls and has higher expectations and academic requirements than our intern positions do. Get deeper into your work than an intern does and take responsibility and ownership for your assignments. As with other positions, you will learn not just about the practice of law in a client-centered law firm serving real people but also the nuts and bolts of running a business,
Marketing/Social Media Intern. (a.k.a. Emily in Paris) This is an entry-level position for someone who has a strong interest in digital marketing, is artistic and creative and a good writer too. You're familiar with technology and the latest trends in social media. And, you have great ideas on how to make each of our lawyers stars in their own right.

We currently have the following openings:
Bankruptcy Lawyer. Entry-level position for a new lawyer or an experienced lawyer looking for something new. something You will have complete responsibility for the practice area (with oversight as necessary) Interviewing clients at intake, oversee preparation of chapter 7 and chapter 13 petitions, attend 341 and confirmation hearings, prepare argue and resolve motions, appear in court as necessary, maintain relationships with trustees and creditors counsel, Law Degree required. NJ Bar Admission required. NY Bar admission a bonus. No experience necessary.
Municipal Court/Criminal Lawyer. This is an entry-level position for someone who is passionate about criminal cases administered through the municipal courts. DUI/DWI, minor drug offenses, serious traffic tickets and other misdemeanors are the bread and butter of this practice. No experience necessary. NJ Bar admission required.
Estate Planning Lawyer. You are a solo or small firm practitioner looking for growth, more income, respect for your contribution to the firm and a place for collaboration/camaraderie and a great work environment. You must have a book of business with at least $300,000 annual revenue and a desire to grow your practice 3X while also maintaining a great lifestyle.
Divorce/Family Lawyer. You are a solo or small firm practitioner looking for growth, more income, respect for your contribution to the firm and a place for collaboration/camaraderie and a great work environment. You must have a book of business with at least $300,000 annual revenue and a desire to grow your practice 3X while also maintaining a great lifestyle.
Paralegals get the job done. Lawyers rely upon and trust their paralegals more than anyone else. Lawyers expect a paralegal to be just as or even more knolwegable in a specific area of law as they are. You will often work very closely not just with lawyers but with clients as well.
We currently have the following openings:
Bankruptcy Paralegal. Attention to detail, careful, and diligent. Knowledge of cloud-based bankruptcy software systems, exemptions, chapter 13 and chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions, Be on the look-out for little things that the client "forgot" to tell us about as you analyze the bank statements and other financial documents submitted by clients.
Divorce/Family Law Paralegal. Knowledge of New Jersey family law practices, motion practice and empathetic our clients as they navigate an emotional time in their lives.
Trusts and Estates Paralegal. Solid knowledge estate-planning software is a must as well as the latest tax laws applicable to estate planning. Good with clients when they come in for consults and signing meetings.
Our people in marketing and sales are our face to potential new clients. They make the first impression that sets the stage for the entire relationship. We look for people who are on the cutting edge of sales and marketing strategies and technologies but first and foremost, we look for people who are empathetic to our clients needs.
We currently have the following openings:
Receptionist/Customer Service Specialist. This is a high-touch client-focused position. You might talk to our clients more than anyone else in the firm and they have to LOVE you. Your duties will include answering telephone, meeting and greeting clients and guests, setting and following-up on appointments and gathering client information. You must be empathetic and you may find yourself becoming a bit of a therapist too.
Marketing specialist. If potential clients don't know we exist, they may never call us to help them. In managing our public awareness campaigns, your duties would include: managing outside marketing, ad, and promotional consultants, developing our professional referral network, creating marketing content for blog articles, videos, emails and social media posts and much more.
